The debut album of vacant possession, inspired by two dramatic sounds experienced on a recent trip to Lisbon.

The first, at the Ferry Terminal, was the sound of the human built environment of the jetty and landing stage being manipulated dramatically by the rhythms of nature to produce a slightly disturbing cacophony. This was in the early evening with only a gentle breeze and swell on the Tagus.

The second, experienced from above at the Santuario Nacional de Cristo Rei at Almada, was the traffic noise rising from Ponte 25 de Abril on a particularly busy, hot Sunday afternoon. An unearthly sound that lingered long in the memory and followed me home.

This album has been comprised mostly from audio ripped from camera and smart phone video clips of various holidays in Paris and Amsterdam as well as Lisbon, together with smart phone voice recording clips of various household appliances including a double impeller shower pump.

The audio was subsequently sampled and manipulated with a variety of online apps and overlaid in part with manipulated snatches from a number of tone generator and music maker apps.
